I will elaborate. EB2 was current untill September 30th 2005. So where does the 2003 "screeching blah blah" come into effect?
Besides ike I have posted countless times...there were only 2000+ approvals for Labor certifications for India between march2005 and october 2005
and only 7000 labor certifications for India between march 2005 and december 2005.
These include a number of labor certifications for other worker categories. I myself saw at least 500 pipefitters and welders and joiners whose labor certification had been approved from Louisiana (maybe cos of katrina)
so if the priority dates have to move for EB2 they will move to jan 2006 (like the chinese have) or remain at 2004

This is the most insane reason i can think of.GC itself is a distant dream leave alone citizenship...and Aging parents...do you really know if they want to reside in this country here permenantly.3-4 months are over and they just want to escape from here coz they just dont like.And some mean children bring their parents to do nursery/take care of their children as free home nannies with paid airfare,boarding and lodging with food.
That is not the case with me. My kid goes to day care and I always keep it that way. As far as them being happy here is concerned then yes I would agree they won't have much social interaction here as they have right now living in small town in India. But for me, as I am sure with many others the choice is not simple. Either I let them live alone where I am not there to take care of them or have them live with us here and they would rather choose the latter.
Anyways, I think we should not take this thread into another direction.

I thought those visas were only for schedule A workers and if you are not in that catagory, this doesn't change anything for you. Besides, recapture still hasn't happened yet so this is all with a big "IF".
I am jumping ahead of the situation here, but I just wanted to see what other members think/know. Assuming that the 90K visa recapture happens, It doesnt take too long for them to be used up in the current situation where there are a lot of people with labors and approved 140's (w/PERM). Not every one will have an oppurtunity to file for a new labor and file for 485. If DOS makes the PD's current / post Mar 2005, wouldn't it be unfair to people who labors are pending for 3 yrs. How does this work out in the previous recapture? HLG doesnt say about numbers being forwarded to the next year though.

Yeah some forget to be civil...but i believe that these few don't represent all of of IV.
And we are all subject to emotions and can make these mistakes as well where we forget to be civil.
I agree there needs to be more clarification on IV's goals and current pursuits....coming soon....a better FAQ page ;)

Every time some one gets a response from ordinary members such as myself, these members asking so called "legitimate" questions, these members such as bitzbytz, rajuseattle et al, these guys will immediately cry foul, uncivil, being manhandled, abused and battered. If you want to have a debate, be prepared to handle the debate and don't pretend that you are melting when someone tells you that your idea is foolish. Either you want a debate or you don't. And if you want to have a debate then why not come up with a response in support of your arguments instead of engaging in name calling like "uncivil" etc.
I know when someone is asking a genuine question. Its no rocket science and I can tell when someone is genuinely asking a legitimate question and when someone is trying to throw mud on work done by others. It enrages me to see these people not doing anything but at the same time, damaging work done by others.

I read that there are 2800 EB3-I visas a year, or about 233 visas per month. Assuming there are about 700 numbers available for the rest of the year 2010, using the data in the latest May-2010 I485 inventory, the calculation is pretty straight n easy with no spillover calculations involved ... here is a possible progress of the PD:
Sep-2010 : 10-Dec-2001
Sep-2011 : 31-May-2002
Sep-2012 : 15-Sep-2002
Sep-2013 : 01-Jan-2003
Sep-2014 : 01-Apr-2003
From there on the numbers are huge per month - about thousand pending 485 per month ... it'll continue at less than snail pace :D

Well, if not that, at least make it obvious that it comes from the right source. I misunderstood this thread as somebody making malicious attack at the core group and disregarded it (though it has been started by a core member). It would help if we can understand who started the post (Like we can do, when we check the india-forums for the TV shows), so that people understand the importance (This may seem as nitpicking but it does make a difference because we dont read everything).
On a second note, even after giving the correct email, i have not received a email from IV like some others have mentioned, after the introductory email after joining in the first time (It would have made me do the pledge earlier if I had gotten the email considering that many of us are infrequent loggers and have a busy travelling schedule).

That is exactly my point that Perm Audit is not focused on Nationality, Field or EB category. If most people are from India, China, Philippines then automatically most audit cases are going to be from these countries.

I would recommend converting regular I-140 into premium processing and get the approval at the earliest. Then file 485 ASAP. No one knows if the date will forward or backward in coming visa bulletins.
1.I got labor and 140 approved under EB3( Company A)
2.Through different company(Company B) perm labor applied under eb2 and approved and 140 applied ( still pending)
3. used portability of priority date but 140 still pending( eb3 to eb2)
Now my priority date is current under eb2 but my 140 is pending through company B ( porting PD from company A)
is it possible to apply 485 through company B? even 140 not approved

You need to meet your lawmaker to help you. That is what we all are doing here. If you add yourself, to what we are doing then one more person will add to the effort we are doing. I had posted my response to this idea before on this thread. So you know IV's position. For something like this you need to get several Greencard holder members involved and approach it very differently. You started the thread on 04-07-2008 but see nothing happens until someone starts working beyond starting a thread. There are many threads that come up on websites with new ideas and everyone comments on them. But if nobody is willing to work everyday on his idea, spend their own money on it , take time off several times in a year to travel and meet lawmakers, prepare documents and presentations for your idea to distribute ad go with in meetings, organize conference calls between group every weekend and sometimes every other week day, talk to various people during your own office hours and between your personal and professional life, it is simply not possible to work on an idea. Unless there is any sacrifice there is no chance of any gain in pursuing any idea, however brilliant it maybe. These ideas get buried in threads on the forums if they are not pursued sincerely.
