No one knows dick about PD movement. EB3 filers think that somehow EB2 PD gets stuck or even retrogress and EB3 PDs race forward to 2003/2004, through some delusional logic. Those who filed under EB2 think, EB2 PD moves to 2005/2006. These predictions are mostly prejudicial. USCIS may have some idea after entering all June/July/Aug applications, that is if they can find someone who can add :D.

Can someone tell me what is the alternate for providing birth Certificate I have one in Hindi.
I heard that you need a translation in english for birth certificates in foreign language. I am not sure where to obtain the translation for the certificate. Probably the attorney should be able to tell this.

Sent my PP for renewal few weeks back and I got it back in 2 weeks.
For me it looked like SFO is pretty good.
I applied for my renewal in SFO and got it back in 2 weeks. I also applied for my daugther's PIO card around the same time. Got it back in 3 weeks. SFO seems to be the best

I just checked my online status one last time for the day; since the USCIS website was down all day. Usually its the same status but now I saw a LUD in today’s date. I checked the case status and both me and my wife have the Card Production Status:D
No emails or text just the update. Called the phone number and got the same message that the card has been ordered.
Its been a very long journey very similar to many here. Its been almost 11 years to a month since we came to this country and had to go through 2 applications to finally reach here. Sacrificed career for the sake of the GC and was at my wits ends with this long wait. Thanks to the almighty the road from here is hopefully green:)
Things I did:

2. Called congressman- they called and got standard response
3. I opened a SR on Aug 3rd
4. I called today and spoke with standard rep who told me my SR has a response “we are processing the case actively and need additional verification. If you don’t hear in 6-9 months please call back”. I told the level 1 rep I need to talk to level 2 and she transferred.
Level 2 and me spoke at length. She was very considerate and polite. The best info she could give was that my case was being actively adjucated. The case is at TSC, if it was not with an IO it will be in New Hampshire in storage.:eek: Give some more time for the case. I expressed my fear about dates retrogressing and she affirmed “hopefully this time it wont”.
And now I saw the status change. My wife still has a FP on the 12th and I have an infopass which I will cancel.
Best of luck to all who are waiting, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Either Hurricane Dolly knocked off their server (as one TSC CR told someone here), or $340 for each application is going somewhere else instead of improving USCIS infrastructure.

When I see EB3-China data in USCIS's work sheet I am getting shocked. How come EB3-China has a such a low pending number particularly comparing with Eb3-India?

Yeah, but the 5th item being demanded is the same as a free trip to the moon with out any flight training. Actually, it does. If you get a GC, you have the option to get citizenship in 5 yrs. If
you get citizenship, you can get Social security.....irrespective of whether you live in
US or in Timbaktu. So IMO, the biggest advantage of GC is getting back the money
you've been paying as part of Social security taxes.
And for those of you who think Social Security will run bankrupt....that will never happen,
or the US president will lose his job. The Govt will always fund SS even if it means
increasing a ballooning deficit.
Not only do you get SS but you also have to pay taxes to US irrespective of where you live for the rest of your life. So on a net it is still arguable depending on your long term residency plan. And my friend, Social Security is going away in the next 10 years. You think the USA can maintain this kind of a deficit for ever with people not willing to see an increase in taxes.

On my wife's labor certificate, it is said her position requires a minimum of master degree. But the alternate is bachelor degree plus 2 years' experience. The lawyer has filed I-140 under EB2.
We are worried that this position does not qualify EB2 because we read on the internet that EB2 requires master degree or bachelor plus at least 5 years' progressive experience. We called the lawyer and said we heard from a friend such a case had been denied. She was very busy and just said there was no problem to apply for Eb2, and if we doubt it, we can hire our friend as a lawyer. We are so pissed off.
Can someone help me clarify if this position is qualified for EB2? do we need to change it to Eb3?

I want to add 'Family and Relatives pressure' in addition to 'Peer Pressure'. When I visited India lasttime, I was asked by almost all the relatives if We had bought a house. It has become an indication if we are doing well (earning well). After a while, i felt little bit uneasy to say that we did not buy house while many of our cousins already did. thats family pressure.
Other than for monetary reasons, there is a small group of people, who do not buy house even if they can afford to and live in apartments
- still not decided where to settle down,
- want to move to warm place, but just not yet due to job,
- think it is lonely to live in a big house with unfamiliar neighbors.
- have small kids, takes lot of time to meet their needs after work, daycare. cannot take the burden of maintaining a big house.

Ideally, you should have opted for CP at the time of filing your I140 and that way your I140 approval would have been forwarded to NVC and they would have initiated the CP. If you had opted for 485 9on your I140) then changing to CP is a cumbersome process.
