MY PD is also July 26 2007.
I live in Texas as well.
My case is filed in Chicago based on my employer state which is MO.
If your employer is in Texas your case would have been filed in Chicago.
It is taking longer than 2 months to get approvals.
Hopefully we will get approved soon and get the hard copy before August 17th to file the I-140 and I-485 together.

Demanding/Questioning about democratic principles while not understanding the very basis of democracy - PARTICIPATION.

I am reading a lot of information posted on this form thanks a lot to every one.
But I am still not clear if I can apply in EB2 (PERM) as the job requirement says
Minimum of 5 years programming experience
But is really important to SAY THAT’S MASTERS DEGREE PREFERRED,
Because I have Masters in computer science but the job requirement does not need it.

I have been contributing. Even for the latest Capitol Hill effort I did call my friends and they did contribute. I have the numbers. I myself contributed 100$. I would have spent at least 8 hours making calls and making my friends contribute $. I never gave up on that. But still I do not get enough motivation to keep this doing. I have collected around 200$ at my work for meeting the lawmakers effort but returned the money to individuals. I am sure it would have ended up helping EB2.

Called all of them
Some of them said they would pass on the message (but I noticed they didn't make a note of the bills ..I was wondering if they know these bills on the top of their head). some of them said they have received lot of calls from IV.
The person I spoke with(David) when I asked for Ruben Hinojosa said that Ruben Hinojosa is pro-immigration . He said he(David) spoke with the Congressman about these issues and said Rep. is aware of skilled immigration problems.He said that though ZOe Lofgren sub committe is sponsoring the bills Ruben is working with his colleagues in favour of the bills.
Said Democrtas are trying to get a Democrat into '' (I don't remember where now, may be White House) so a broader immigration law can be passed.
He said after August recess some of the immigration bills would be passed.

There are about 37 EB2-India approvals and not a single EB2-China from yesterday's data. Looks like there are not many EB2-China before 2005. This spill over is definitely good for India.

There will be so many stuck in namecheck....nobody can be sure that their fortunes will follow even a single one of these predictions...since anyone can land in the blackhole...I WISH WISH WISH we cld do something abt the name check mess!!
From what I hear, Name check is a random sample check, still unfortunate for those who have to go through it, but not all applicants will go through the name check.

While we know that all NON GC Holders will stop buying houses for the correct reasons I want to underscore some subtle reasons that influenced this buying spree. It is not my intention to put any one on pedestal. I am just writing what I observed. Not intended at any one in person.
Greed and lack of understanding
Want to make easy money. People think that Real estate value does not fall, just like in the places where they come from, where property has two values, Market value and government value with a huge differential. In the US, the county property assessments are purely based on market value. So thinking that the gains are not going to evaporate is lack of understanding of the system coupled with greed.
Do I/We really need a house?
Not many of the troubled home owners might have asked this Q. Had if they asked this Q, things would have been a lot better. The discussion of buying vs renting was almost gone. Every one held the opinion that buying trumps renting.
Save money on Taxes
This IMO, is the biggest myth. One needs to keep changing the house every 5 years to have the itemized deduction more than the standard deduction.B T W, If you live in one of the states that do not have state tax, your itemized deduction might not be so big that you will really benefit a lot every year. Hey! It does not matter where you are paying. Either you pay your taxes to uncle sam directly so that the govt can run fine or buy a home and contribute to the economy. In the end Govt gets the money. Biggest lie propagated by Realtors. Look at the amortization tables of your mortgage to find out.
Bad Realtor
Giving cash back to the buyers and trying to sell every damn home. When I buy a home, I will refuse to take the money from the Realtor off the bat. I will make him/her work and find the right home I want and would not just buy a home in a day. Easy money for the Realtor and a bad home with a bad loan for buyers. There are people who went out on the weekend and signed a home and told me at work on Monday.
DINKS So we are good

We cant predict every thing but it is NOT difficult to forecast whether a family is going to have a kid or not and what kind of financial implications will such events have?

Lets take fictitious families R & S living in the same rented community with similar back ground. Mr and Mrs R decide to buy a home and they buy one. Mr S does not think it is right for them to do so. How ever, Mrs S pressures Mr S into doing so. Believe me this happens all the time.

There is a reason why 20% down payment was a norm in the mortgage industry for a long time. 20% down payment keeps PMI and the high interest rates on your secondary loan away. I know people who are burned because of PMI and interest rate on second loan. Such down payment will keep the monthly EMI affordable and leaves out gimmicks.
I can understand taking a second loan on the 10% down payment, but people were let go with 0% down payment leaving them with a bad loan and a bad home. Some people bought the home they wanted, but the price was too high. Thats all they are left with.
As President O said, we collectively failed to take difficult and correct decisions even though the greed and deception can be attributed to some people on the wall street.

I'm 06 and I know exactly what u r saying...Many 06 guyz got approved in 2008 but all those cases were from TSC where the processing times had reached 06. Freakin NSC was behind in processing and hence our cases were stuck. I'm assuming ur case is at NSC....
But come to the present day, everything is in place for our approvals. I'm confident v all will get it this time. Just a matter of time and its frustrating rt now...YES.
I went through the same frustration in 2008 when many 2006 got approved even when my date was current.
Looks like the same thing is going to happen again -- most of the approvals are from 2006 and I am still stuck forever..what the *&%^ing going on....
But come to the present day, everything is in place for our approvals. I'm confident v all will get it this time. Just a matter of time and its frustrating rt now...YES.

Great Going needhelp. Dont worry about your speed for now. We will gradually work towards walking more distance and get to 2.5 miles in a few weeks. We can do it.
I did 3.5 miles at lunch. it was 77 degrees outside. so 3 miles of running and 0.5 mile of walking took 36 minutes and a litre of water..had to stay hydrated..Hopefully next time I do it I wont need as many water breaks.
and I completed 10 rounds probably 1.5 miles.. So you know I was going rrreeeaaaally slow. (but it was good enough for me)

I have read that the Chicago cases were going to be moved to from May. BUt what about the cases that have been in Audit since Jan/Feb 2008. Were they also moved or something.

As for putting names and case numbers, without that information, they won�t take the letter seriously. Also, I think that this will get the DOL to move on those cases. Almost every time I have made a specific complaint, they have responded by resolving the case right away in order to make the whole thing go away. there is nothing to sensationalise or freaking out . if you see the subsequent post and reading all relevant materials , you will understand that few are trying to keep CIR alive while many want it to be killed. Since i keep scourging to see if any new is available about the conference and have not seen the house clerk reporting the reciept of the CIR, i was just asking a question to find out if anyone had any news reading sobers post on blue slip, is some news......
